Colours (text & envelope):	Red on white paper.
Size of envelope overall:	88 × 145 mm.

red border on the front does not extend to the base;
the inclusion of only peace-time slogans indicates this envelope was printed towards the end of this period and just before the Australian Post Office era;
the main distinction between the varieties is:
9A: heading is printed in sans serif font;
9B: heading is printed in serif font.

Distinctive characteristics of this form:

centre line "Received..." ends with "message";
line above sender details ends with "Tasmania".
