Colours (text & form):	9A: Blue on cream paper. 9B: Black on green (although most examples have discoloured to brown).
Size of form overall:	102 × 192 mm.

Distinctive characteristics of this form:

top left corner has the words "CASH REGISTER";
top right box has the words "CASH REGISTER OR STAMPS";
advertising box in the lower left corner varies in size and word spacing;
the main distinctions across the varieties are:
9A: printed in blue on white paper;
9B: all main details are the same as for RO-9A but the form is printed in black on green paper;


Printed in April 1943.	AW-RO-9A. Characteristics: TELEGRAM is in larger letters than PREPAID REPLY; letters in TELEGRAM are 5 mm high; G in TELEGRAM has no horizontal bar; M of TELEGRAM has slanted legs; line under TELEGRAM finishes with FOR; text throughout the form is all capitals.

Printed October 1949.	AW-RO-9B. Unused transmission form. Characteristics: words in all instructions are lower case; letters in TELEGRAM are 7 mm high; G in TELEGRAM has no horizontal bar; M of TELEGRAM has straight legs; line under TELEGRAM finishes with "trans-";
Reverse side of the above form printed in 1949.	Reverse side of the above form. Characteristics: same wording and spacing as for RO-9A except that the font is lower case and slightly larger.
Reverse side of the form printed in 1950.	AW-RO-9C. Reverse side of an unused transmission form. The front has the same format as AW-RO-9B printed in 1949. Characteristics: light green paper; on reverse side, second last line requires "...application to be made to the Deputy Director..".
